Code of Conduct:
1. Leave your ego at the door.
It is our goal to provide a safe environment for all walks of life to be and express themselves in the infinite ways that are possible. We ask that when you come onto this land, you come with an open mind and an open heart. In today’s age the average person is conditioned to fear that which they do not understand. If you encounter something that is new to you, allow it to challenge your perception. Within our village we all must take responsibility of holding ourselves accountable. We are all human; we all make mistakes, and that is how we grow.
2. Respect the land
We must move in a way on this earth, that if everyone on the planet did what we are doing that life would still be sustainable. Since 2019 our community has shed blood, sweat, and tears making this land what it is today. We all must commit to maintaining the land’s natural beauty by abstaining from litter, dumping biohazardous waste, vandalizing permanent structures on the land, or driving in unauthorized areas that could damage the terrain. If we take care of the land, it will take care of us. Visitors commonly claim that there is a strong sense of magic on this mountain. Come with an intention to heal, and it is our hope that the mountain will reveal that opportunity to you.
3. The Golden Rule
Treat others the way you would like to be treated. At Magic Mountain, we hold a ZERO tolerance policy for any form of disrespect, discrimination, hate speech, or abuse. Any reports of such will be treated on a case-by-case basis with an investigation completed by our board of ethics on all involved parties. We hold social justice to a high regard, and any acts found to be of ill intent will be intervened upon with actions up to and including permanent banning from the property.
4. Be yourself
We experience something transcendental when we feel safe to express ourselves to our fullest potential without fear of judgement or abuse. Holding space for vulnerability is one of our most prized ways to create a sacred experience for our guests. If you battle with finding a sense of security at social gatherings, we invite you to reach out to our staff. We can lead you into the right direction for safe people, circumstances, and resources to find the light at the end of your tunnel.
5. If you see something, say something
Under every circumstance. Even if you feel like it could have been nothing; even if you second guess your judgement; or if the energy was just “off”, if you witness a situation that you feel may require intervention NOTIFY A STAFF MEMBER. All reports are taken seriously no matter the severity. We will ALWAYS error on the side of caution for community safety.
There is nothing more important to us than the safety and security of our patrons, staff, and volunteers.
You will never be punished for telling the truth or reporting a “hunch”.
Accountability is our HIGHEST value. It is our promise that (with the exception of radical circumstances) one’s ability to admit to their mistake and demonstrate change will be deeply considered during investigations. Our goal is not only to reserve the sanctity of our land, but also to humanize and shed light onto the dark parts of our path to aid in support and facilitate healing.
If you would like to make an incident or suspicious activity report, you can do so by clicking ‘Report’ at the top of the page. Once the report is received an investigation will be conducted, and necessary action and follow-up will be taken as indicated.
